&lt;p style="background-color: transparent; margin-top: 0px !important; margin-bottom: 0px !important;"&gt;&lt;font face="Tahoma"&gt;&lt;font color="#000000" style="font-size: 15px;"&gt;&amp;nbsp; &amp;nbsp; &amp;nbsp; &amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/font&gt;&lt;/font&gt;&lt;span style=""&gt;A.M. "Hupp" Huppmann, Nassau County commissioner, will be the guest speaker at the Men’s Newcomers Club luncheon Thursday, April 16,, 11:30 a.m., at the Fernandina Beach Golf Club on Bill Melton Road.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p style="margin-top: 0px !important; margin-bottom: 0px !important;"&gt;&lt;font face="Tahoma"&gt;&amp;nbsp; &amp;nbsp; &amp;nbsp; &amp;nbsp;Commissioner Huppman will be discussing issues facing Nassau County.&lt;/font&gt;&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p style="margin-top: 0px !important; margin-bottom: 0px !important;"&gt;&lt;font face="Tahoma"&gt;&amp;nbsp; &amp;nbsp; &amp;nbsp; &amp;nbsp;Hupp was elected to serve as Nassau County Commissioner, District 2 in 2022 and served as chairman of the board for 2025. A native of Baltimore, he enlisted in the Navy in 1984 upon graduating from high school and served in the submarine force, including two tours in Kings Bay, Georgia. Following the events of 9/11, he completed two aircraft carrier-based combat deployments in support of Operation Enduring Freedom and Operation Iraqi Freedom.&lt;/font&gt;&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p style="margin-top: 0px !important; margin-bottom: 0px !important;"&gt;&lt;font face="Tahoma"&gt;&amp;nbsp; &amp;nbsp; &amp;nbsp; &amp;nbsp;After serving on the personal staff of three submarine flag officers, he retired following&amp;nbsp;&lt;/font&gt;&lt;span style=""&gt;20 years of service as a senior chief petty officer qualified in submarine, surface and aviation warfare.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p style="margin-top: 0px !important; margin-bottom: 0px !important;"&gt;&lt;font face="Tahoma"&gt;&amp;nbsp; &amp;nbsp; &amp;nbsp; &amp;nbsp;Hupp was a member of the Foar From Home All-Veteran Ocean Rowing team from Amelia Island that completed a 3-year campaign to raise awareness and resources for veteran suicide, traumatic brain injury and other PTSD related issues. The team rowed over 3,000 nautical miles across the North Atlantic Ocean in 51-days, raising over $900,000 in donations for North Florida veteran charities&lt;/font&gt;&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p style="margin-top: 0px !important; margin-bottom: 0px !important;"&gt;&lt;font face="Tahoma"&gt;&amp;nbsp; &amp;nbsp; &amp;nbsp; &amp;nbsp;As a Nassau County commissioner, Hupp served as a member of the 2024 Election Cycle Canvassing Board and serves as chairman of the Affordable Housing Advisory Committee, on the board of directors of the Northeast Florida Regional Council and on the Florida Association of Counties Small County Coalition.&lt;/font&gt;&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p style="margin-top: 0px !important; margin-bottom: 0px !important;"&gt;&lt;font face="Tahoma"&gt;&amp;nbsp; &amp;nbsp; &amp;nbsp; &amp;nbsp;He participates in a multitude of non-profit charity work across Nassau County and most recently joined the board of directors for Building Battle Buddies, a non-profit organization creating service dogs for veteran and first-responder personnel.&lt;/font&gt;&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p style="margin-top: 0px !important; margin-bottom: 0px !important;"&gt;&lt;font face="Tahoma"&gt;&amp;nbsp; &amp;nbsp; &amp;nbsp; &amp;nbsp;There will be a social half-hour beginning at 11:30 a.m.&amp;nbsp; At noon there will be a buffet lunch.&amp;nbsp; Our luncheons are open to members who may also register one male guest, and to non-member males who are considering joining the club.&lt;/font&gt;&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p style="margin-top: 0px !important; margin-bottom: 0px !important;"&gt;&lt;font face="Tahoma"&gt;&amp;nbsp; &amp;nbsp; &amp;nbsp; &amp;nbsp;To register for the meeting, click on the register box below.&amp;nbsp;The Club has a capacity of 120 for lunch.&amp;nbsp; Once registrations have reached that limit, a waiting list will be maintained.&lt;/font&gt;&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p style="margin-top: 0px !important; margin-bottom: 0px !important;"&gt;&lt;font face="Tahoma"&gt;&amp;nbsp; &amp;nbsp; &amp;nbsp; &amp;nbsp;Cost to attend the golf&amp;nbsp;club&amp;nbsp;luncheon is $25 which can be paid by credit card when registering (click “Pay online”), or by clicking on “Invoice me” and sending a check to MNC PO Box 16291, Fernandina Beach, FL 32035 to arrive by April 11. Registrations not paid by then will be cancelled to make room for waitlisted members.&lt;/font&gt;&lt;/p&gt;</description>

      <title>Fernandina Beach Municipal Airport (21 Apr 2026)</title>

    &lt;span&gt;&lt;span&gt;&lt;font color="#000000" face="Aptos, sans-serif"&gt;Our April tour will be of the Fernandina Beach Municipal Airport.&lt;/font&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;span&gt;&lt;font color="#000000" face="Aptos, sans-serif"&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/font&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;span&gt;&lt;font color="#000000" face="Aptos, sans-serif"&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/font&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;span&gt;&lt;font color="#000000" face="Aptos, sans-serif"&gt;This airport was developed in the 1940’s by the Navy as a training facility. It is currently owned by the City of Fernandina Beach and operated as a self-sufficient enterprise.&lt;/font&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;span&gt;&lt;font color="#000000" face="Aptos, sans-serif"&gt;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/font&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;span&gt;&lt;font color="#000000" face="Aptos, sans-serif"&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/font&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;span&gt;&lt;font color="#000000" face="Aptos, sans-serif"&gt;The terminal itself was rebuilt in 2018 using the design of the F4U Corsair aircraft which were predominate in the early days of the airport.&lt;/font&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/span&gt;

    &lt;p&gt;&lt;font color="#000000" face="Aptos, sans-serif"&gt;We will tour the airport facilities while hearing descriptions of airport operations and services.&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;We will also learn more about the history of this unique airport and the role it currently serves in Northeast Florida and the Master Plan for the airport’s future.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/font&gt;&lt;/p&gt;
