Interest / Hobby Groups

Here's a list of interest / hobby groups available to our members.  If you would like to join a group, let the Contact listed below know.  Their email addresses and phone numbers are provided in our directory (which is only visible to members). 

Amateur Radio - Contact: George Foss.

Antiques - Contact: Barry Hertslet.

Bicycling - Contact:   TBD.   We have regular outings in the beautiful environment of Amelia Island.  Always looking for more participants.

Bridge - Contact: Don Mason.   We play bridge every Friday at 1:00 PM at the Council on Aging.  You can sign up as a regular or as a substitute.  Since we need multiples of 4 for each session, we have a designated host every week who does that.  Do not just show up expecting to play.

Community Service Projects - Contact Bruce Doueck .  

Finance / Investing - Contact: Trueman Parish   We meet at 1:00 PM on the second Thursday of each month at the Fernandina Golf Club.  We have a wide-open agenda.  In the past year we've talked about investments, tax preparation, financial advisers, brokerage houses, insurance, etc.  To support the golf club, we encourage participants to order food or drink since we pay nothing for the facility.

Fishing - Contact: Walter Karpowski.  Both backwater and offshore. 

Golf - Contact: Dom Gambardella   We play Scramble Golf every Monday afternoon at the North Hampton Golf Club.

Walks in the Park: Contact Bruce Doueck.   Walks in different parks in the area are conducted the 4th Saturday of each month. Each walk is approximately 2 hours.
