Nassau Habitat for Humanity topic
for MNC Nov. 18 luncheon
Al Pertuz
Al Pertuz of Nassau Habitat for Humanity will discuss the work that Nassau Habitat for Humanity has done in Fernandina since it started in 1994 at the Men’s Newcomers Club luncheon, Thursday, Nov. 18, at the Fernandina Beach Golf Club.
Pertuz will talk about the mission of the organization and how it has executed a building program that has provided close to 50 homes in Fernandina for low income individuals who would not have been able to afford housing in our community.
With a Master’s Degree in Industrial Engineering from the University of Miami, Al joined Nassau Habitat for Humanity as a construction volunteer in 2012, was appointed to the board in 2014 and became president in 2017.
There will be a social half-hour beginning at 11:30 a.m. At noon there will be short business meeting with a buffet lunch. Al’s presentation will begin about 12:30 p.m.
The Club expects all attendees to be fully vaccinated from COVID 19.
