Historic District home renovation
to be discussed at MNC Feb. 17 luncheon
Tammi Kosack
A preservationist, Tammi Kosack, will discuss her experiences and surprises in the renovation of her Historic District home at the Men’s Newcomers Club’s luncheon, Thursday, Feb. 17, at the Fernandina Beach Golf Club.
After vacationing in Fernandina for many years, Kosack took the plunge into homeownership and a full blown historic renovation on a home in the Fernandina Beach Historic District. As she enters the 5th year of work on the home, the discoveries she found along the way were nothing she ever could have imagined. She will discuss her exploration of the local and cultural history of her home during the planning phase using locally available tools, the archeological architectural adventure that informed each decision in bringing this structure back to life, and the surprises discovered along the way.
Kosack owns chair in the air designs, inc., a consulting firm that specializes in unexpected interiors and enchanting gardens.
There will be a social half-hour beginning at 11:30 a.m. At noon there will be a short business meeting followed by a buffet lunch.
The Club expects all attendees to be fully vaccinated from COVID 19.
