Tour of Brandy Branch and Solar Farm

The JEA Brandy Branch Generating Station is located near Baldwin on the Westside of Jacksonville, next-door to their 100- acre solar farm.  Commissioned in 2001, Brandy Branch is JEA’s only combined cycle generation facility, which puts it in a league of its own when it comes to generation stations.  It combines the gas turbine combustion clean electricity generation with a major solar electric generation expansion designed to make Jacksonville one of the leading solar cities in the country.  The Solar Field consists of approximately 200,000 photoelectric panels producing 15MW DC power.  This tour will encompass both generation operations. 

There is no cost for this tour.
