Our November tour will be to the Museum of Southern History, a small, unique museum dedicated to historical accuracy in presenting the lifestyle and culture of the Antebellum South.
The primary collection contains artifacts of the Civil War and our guide will tell little- known stories of Florida’s role in that conflict.
There is no charge for this tour, but this museum exists on donations. A contribution of at least $3.00 per person at the museum would be much appreciated.
Travel time from Amelia Island is estimated at 1 hour
There is no dress code for this tour
Following the tour of the museum, we will gather for lunch a THE BRICK, a restaurant in historic Avondale, just a short distance from the museum. If you want to join us for lunch please so indicate on the registration form so we reserve a space for you.
To register, you must be a member in good standing and have accepted the Liability and Photography Release waiver. If you have not yet accepted that waiver you may do so on our website by clicking HERE. (You may need to wait a day or two after signing the waiver to register as your status in the system must be updated manually). Sorry, no spouses or guests allowed for this event.
