The Marine Science Research Institute, at Jacksonville University, is a premier biological and environmental research center with a focus on marine science.  The institute houses the St. Johns Riverkeeper, the Florida Fish & Wildlife Conservation Commission, the Northeastern Fisheries Laboratory, and OCEARCH, a global organization that tracks and conducts research on sharks.  We will tour the facility, view displays and hear presentations by staff members  involved with various phases of marine science research. 

Lunch will be available in the Jacksonville University Café for $10-12. 

There is no cost for this tour.

Travel time from Amelia Island is about 50 minutes.  

 The tour will be about 60 minutes in length.

To register, you must be a member in good standing and have accepted the Liability and Photography Release waiver.  If you have not yet accepted that waiver you may do so on our website by clicking HERE.  (You may need to wait a day or two after signing the waiver to register as your status in the system must be updated manually).  Sorry, no spouses or guests allowed for this event.
