The Jacksonville Electric Authority's (JEA) sewer collection system handles more than 80 million gallons of wastewater every day. Our waste collection and treatment system consists of more than 3,900 miles of collection lines, over 1,300 pumping stations and eleven wastewater treatment plants. Removing wastewater from your home, your business and our community is serious business.

JEA's Buckman Waste Water Treatment Facility is a key player in the company's wastewater management services. It is the largest regional sewer plant in the area, handling over 52.5 million gallons of wastewater daily. The facility includes advanced nutrient removal processes and is part of JEA's broader efforts to treat and reclaim wastewater for various uses, including irrigation and fertilization. The facility's operations are monitored closely, with data points being tracked around the clock to ensure optimal performance.

There is no cost for this tour.
